| This photo was taken in the mid-1890s.. The William B. Back family were early settlers in central Arizona. This picture was taken at their Montezuma Well Ranch (today it is a national park). From left to right: Harry Wales Back (Greg'sgrandfather), Fred, Margie Ann Dickinson ( Greg's great-grandmother), behind her a daughter Mildred, William B. Back (Greg's great-grandfather) sitting holding William Lester Back, Bertha, twins Jessie and Jenny Lee (Greg's sister is named after Jenny Lee).. Greg is working on a project which has the goal of dedicating one of the ranch buildings at the park. It will be dedicated in William's name and will be used as a classroom for on-site training for studies in archeology and anthropology of the ancient Sinagua (without water) Indians that were cliff dwellers. |
