The Greg Back Family
All Information  about this family was
provided by Greg Back.  Greg is an
enthusiastic historian, currently working with
the National Park Service on a federal park
which has ties to the Back family.
This photo was taken in the mid-1890s..  The William B. Back family were
early settlers in central Arizona.  This picture was taken at their Montezuma
Well Ranch (today it is a national park).  From left to right: Harry Wales Back
(Greg'sgrandfather), Fred, Margie Ann Dickinson ( Greg's
great-grandmother), behind her a daughter Mildred, William B. Back (Greg's
great-grandfather) sitting holding William Lester Back, Bertha, twins Jessie
and Jenny Lee (Greg's sister is named after Jenny Lee)..

Greg is working on a project which has the goal of dedicating one of the
ranch buildings at the park.  It will be dedicated in William's name and will
be used as a classroom for on-site training for studies in archeology and
anthropology of the ancient Sinagua (without water) Indians that were cliff
dwellers.
Greg's Grandfather Harry Wales Back, and his
father William Basil Back on the horse.  Harry
was an authentic cowboy.
